Hey guys.. I am looking for the J hook tie rods that hold a single propane tank down but I do not want to spend $40 .. Here is a link to what I am looking for http://odmrv.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=110&products_id=978  I am looking for this product or close to it just cheaper!!! :).. I do not want to make my own out of threaded rod and I do not have a "local" rv dealer to pick one up at.. I just want to order online or call a dealer willing to ship, open a box and install.. and of course I want it free :) well, not free but as close as I can to it. 40 bucks seems a little high to me for a couple of bolts .. I have been looking all afternoon and I cannot find them cheaper than the link I posted.... Thanks for your help guys

You can find them from one of many rv surplus outlets on Ebay... should be plenty cheap on there too...

 I thought the very same thing!! Ebay was the first place I tried... Guess what.. ZIP.. NADA.. ZERO.. Shocked!!!.. I even tried all diffrent search words.. Still nothing

Maybe I'll make you a set for a couple of bucks!  Round steel rod, tap the end with about 1 1/2" of threads, bend the J in the other end.  Shouldn' cost much...I'll see what I can do.

Be careful if you get them from a dealer.   Wink   I went to get a set a few years back, and DW saw the Utah.  Two hours later we owned it.  The kicker is, that when I went back a few days later to pick up the Utah, I still needed to get a set of tank hold downs!

what i am currently using.

i actually like it better than the Js.

easier to get on and off, and doesnt come undone unless i want it to.

I found a set of those in my popup.  I wasn't sure what they were.  This explains it.  I do not have anything in my camper that runs on propane, so I have no use for them.  I will look and see if I still have them in the camper.  I believe I held onto them, because I figured I would find a use for them.  If I still have them I'll send them to you for the cost of shipping. 

I'll let you know tomorrow if I find them.

I did not see those holding tank brackets in my supply bin.  I could not get inside the popup to look as I have the lift system off track because of my repair.  I will have the popup put back together hopefully tomorrow and I will look on my shelves and everything.  I do not remember throwing them away.

Wow!! what a great response and kind gestures.. You guys rock!!!!
I was in the middle of ordering a part for my folding table from http://www.beckleysrvs.com/Default.aspx and I thought I would ask if they might have the propane J bolts I was looking for, Vivian in parts told me to hold on so she could check .. When she came back on the phone she said "I got'um..20 bucks" I said "SOLD!!!!"
$20.00 bucks seems fair for the bolts and since I was already paying for shipping on another part it was a no brainer.
Better than paying $40.00+ shipping from the only other place I found that had them

I am glad you found what you are looking for.  I must have tossed the ones that were in my camper.  I looked again today when I took the camper back out to the storage spot.  Did not find them anywhere.
